Introducing Our Domestic Customers – Part. 8 ~ Meal Boxx ~

We have introduced several domestic restaurants on this website, and this time, we would like to feature the food truck “Meal Boxx.”

Meal Boxx is a food truck operated by “Narimasu Dynamite Sakaba”, an izakaya we previously introduced. They are confident in the quality and flavor of their food.

When it comes to food trucks, many people probably think first of “Wheels on Meals”, a classic film starring Hong Kong action star Yuen Biao, filmed entirely in Spain.  The fusion of that stylish yellow food truck and energetic action made it a legendary moment in the history of Hong Kong cinema.

Nowadays, food trucks bring smiles to people at event venues, parks, and office districts. Their history is surprisingly long — it is said to have started in the 1860s during the American frontier era, as wagons that provided meals to cowboys driving cattle for months. ("Kitchen car" is a Japanese English term; in English, it's called a "food truck.")

Meal Boxx is gaining popularity among people of all ages by selling lunch in office districts and appearing at various events—both large and small—such as local festivals, campus festivals, rock concerts, and Japan national soccer team matches, while inheriting the history.

They use different trade names depending on the occasion: “Bistro Carlos” for lunch and “Bifuteki Dynamite” for events.

With six food trucks, they operate mainly in Tokyo and are said to have the second-highest sales in the food truck industry in the Kanto region.

The menu is mainly meat dishes, and the popular ones are bowls with plenty of meat on it, especially Beefsteak rice bowl (called Bifteki-don), which has no complaints about its taste and volume.

In fact, our company provides the sauce for this Bifteki-don. It took many Tastings and trials and errors to produce a flavor that we were finally satisfied with.   It was worth the effort; they use it about 400L every month.

They mainly use U.S. Black Angus beef. Because of their strong commitment to quality meat, they sometimes operate a food truck specializing in meat dishes at events.

Meal Boxx opens their Food trucks for events held in Tokyo, Saitama and Chiba areas. If you are interested in tasting their Bifteki-don, why not come visit them?

[Bifuteki Don — highly recommended by our staff]

When you come across a Meal Boxx food truck while you’re out, we highly recommend stopping by for a generous and delicious bowl of Bifuteki Don!
