Our company exports fresh seafood and processed seafood products to Thailand. For fresh fish, we ship twice a week by airplane, in addition to sourcing from Toyosu Market, as well as shipping fresh fish directly from the production areas. Utilizing the know-how we have developed over time, we personally package each product using the most suitable packaging method for each item.

Since we deal with seafood products where freshness is crucial, various issues and requests arise. For example, the fish's freshness may significantly deteriorate compared to when it was shipped, or the fish delivered may not match the customer's requested size.

To minimize such issues, we hold a monthly TV conference with our Thai importers, lasting 1 to 2 hours. The topics discussed during these meetings vary, including requests from restaurant chefs, inquiries, and recommendations. For instance, since Thailand has a tropical climate similar to Japan's summer year-round, we often suggest seasonal fish from Japan, considering the Japanese seasons. When complaints arise, we work with the importers to identify the cause and share information with each other to improve the situation. Additionally, we strive to communicate product characteristics to customers and help them gain product knowledge.

At times, there are disagreements, but we have built a solid partnership with our Thai importers, working together closely. By meeting face-to-face every month in these TV conferences, we have been able to establish greater trust.

 

Through communication with our importers and local restaurants in Thailand, our company is working to build strong relationships. We will continue holding regular monthly TV conferences to align on any issues. Furthermore, we hope to introduce Japanese food culture to the people of Thailand.
