Learning ability is the engine of corporate development
— a lecture by General Manager Sun Zhengji at the MBA meeting

At the MBA/EMBA Education Center of the Dalian University of Technology on the morning of November 26, 2017, Sun Zhengji, General Manager of the Itabashi Medical Device Co., Ltd., Dalian, who was an MBA alumnus of the 2004 term, was invited to the 14-term MBA innovation meeting, and gave a lecture on his personal history and efforts to establish the company.

Sun Zhengji, who was an excellent English teacher, joined a Japanese trading house through some connections, and has managed the company for 28 years based on the situation in China. Although he originally had no Japanese-speaking ability, he studied by himself and eventually gave lectures on the "Concept of human resources in Japanese companies" to Japanese language students at Dalian University, and 6 books in the "Mr. Sun's business Japanese class" series were published in 5 years. One of the books is included in CASIO's electronic dictionary.
He also edited "Ophthalmology Knowledge Manual for Non-Ophthalmology Doctors" and "Ophthalmology Knowledge Manual for Home Medicine" and was involved in the editing of "Principles and Applications of Ophthalmological Equipment," becoming a non-specialist evangelist in ophthalmology.

Amid the economic development of China, a pure Japanese company continued to develop under a management system that was atypical for a Japanese company, and advanced along the road to success. This is undoubtedly attributable to the corporate culture in which the team led by Mr. Sun tries a bunch of different things and is constantly learning. Respecting discipline and individuality and considering employees' psychological and economic needs; with the president and director being respected, everything was aimed at the long-term development of the company. He said that by keeping on learning, the company can take the lead in the marketplace, and employees can also adapt to the times and the demand for rapid corporate development.
