I went on a business trip to Thailand last November.
Under the COVID-19 pandemic, it was my first overseas business trip since joining the company, and was a very good experience.

I departed from Narita International Airport at 5 pm and arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Thailand at 10 pm.

As it was my first overseas business trip alone,

I was a bit nervous as I went through the immigration procedures and took a taxi to the hotel I had reserved.

The next morning at 8:00 am, I met with the customer and had a business meeting at the office.
And then, during the lunch break at 12:00 p.m., we went to a restaurant recommended by them and had some delicious Thai food.
The prices are low in Thailand, so one meal costed about THB 50 to 80 (JPY 200 to 320).

I got the authentic Tom Yum Goong.

 

I visited existing supermarkets and some restaurants which will open in near future to make product recommendations.
Do you know that there are Japanese supermarkets in Thailand? Some of them sell Japanese fresh fish, and some local supermarkets also sell Japanese fresh fish. If you have time during your trip to Thailand, please make a stop at a local Japanese supermarket.

And also went to a market that is commonly used by local people.

Thailand is one of the most congested traffic cities in the world, and it takes a lot of time to move around the city. After work, I went out for a delicious dinner with them again.
On the last day of my business trip, the members of our customer held a farewell party for me and then I went straight to Suvarnabhumi Airport.
